Vitali. Ecologist, artist and performer. In his works he uses printed paper in
particular newspapers, which he transforms
into thread balls: he then knits the thread, or crochets it or weaves it into vests,
cardigans, weddind dresses…and last but not least …tape-stries!
- In 2000 he performs
at the Theatre of the Limonaia, Villa Strozzi in Florence with “Defilè of daily clothes”. In 2003 he takes part as a
performer in the section extra 50 at Venice Biennial. In 2005 he exhibits at the Theatre
La Pergola of Florence and at Lingotto in Turin on the occasion of the
“Eco-efficiency Biennial”. In 2006 he exhibits at the Hotel Hilton and Stibbert
Museum of Florence. In 2007 elected "Urban Hero"
for Florence on the occasion of the smart-and-the-city tour I do a performance
in the Piazzale degli Uffizi . In 2008 he has taken part in the Holland Paper
Biennial at the Rijswijk Museum and at the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn and also in the
6th “Triennale Internationale de la Tapisserie et des Arts du Tissu” of Tournai
in Belgium. Besides he has presented "Tramart", a personal exhibition of
recent works at the Museum of the Medici Villa of Cerreto Guidi (Florence) In
2008/’09 he takes part in "rifiuti ad arte: le pratiche sostenibili"
promoted by C.E.S.V.O.T. and Centre for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci -
Prato.
